During the bean development phase, rainfall provides a vital reserve of moisture to the soil, reaching the roots of the plants and initiating biochemical processes that are essential for the growth of the beans. <\/p>\n\n<p>Through water, nutrients in the soil solution such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are absorbed by the roots, which are essential for the plants\u2019 healthy and strong development. This nutritional contribution is particularly significant during this time, when the coffee beans are at inicial stage of formation. This is because the availability of water that rain brings can significantly reduce dependence on artificial irrigation systems, giving producers considerable savings in terms of operating costs and water consumption. <\/p>\n\n<p>By taking advantage of seasonal rainfall, coffee growers are able to maximize the use of resources, contributing to a more sustainable production in harmony with the environment.<\/p>\n\n<p>In this context, the interconnection between water and the nutrition of coffee plants is essential, since well fertilized soil full of nutrients is only effective for the plant when water is present, as it carries the nutrients to the plant.
