Mutua Program

Atlantica Coffee believes in the importance of mutual growth in the coffee chain, a win-win relationship where everyone lives in a balanced ecosystem.

In this context, we have developed the MUTUA program, a set of initiatives and projects aimed at the sustainability of the Brazilian coffee industry.

United for a more sustainable coffee culture.

Brazil is the largest coffee producer and exporter in the world. It is rich in biodiversity, water, forests, and springs, valuable resources for life and coffee activity. But these resources are finite and need to be preserved.

With this in mind, we developed the Mutua Matas e Nascentes Project.

Mutua Sustainability Project

The aim of the Mutua Matas e Nascentes pilot project is to help coffee growers who are Atlantica’s partners in the preservation and recovery of forests, springs, and the treatment of water and domestic sewage on their properties through integrated conservationist practices.

Partners

The project will be carried out in partnership with Florestal Jr., Junior Enterprise of Forestry Engineering, working together with the JE’s of Environmental Engineering and Surveying Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa.

The members of Florestal Jr. are under the guidance of the Federal University of Viçosa’s professors who are specialists in each field.

The project also counts on the support of Emater-MG in providing guidance and technical information, in the construction of the pits in the Matas de Minas region.

Ally Coffee, Atlantica Coffee’s sibling company in the specialty coffee division of the Montesanto Tavares Group, connects coffee roasters of different origins, always seeking sustainable partnerships.

With this in mind, export sales of Mutua coffees will be destined to Ally.
