The health benefits of coffee: more reasons to enjoy it!

It’ s good for your health, your heart, and even for your digestion. Our daily cup of coffee continues to be surprising. 

New scientific researches have revealed a lot of news when the subject is the association between coffee consumption and our health.  

In fat burning, a research from the University of Granada, in Spain, showed that drinking a strong cup of coffee (3 mg of caffeine per kilo) half an hour before doing aerobic exercises helps fat burning. 

The heart also gets the benefits: even though caffeine causes a stimulation in the heartbeat, drinking coffee is not related to heart disease, as revealed by the American College of Cardiology, which published that drinking coffee moderately (between 2 and 3 cups a day) is a behavior associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease and arrhythmia. The authors credit these benefits to the more than 100 compounds present in the coffee bean, which include antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and metabolic substances.  

There are also those who can’t go without a cup of coffee after lunch, and scientists have found that coffee also helps digestion. A scientific review from 2021 found positive effects of moderate coffee consumption on the gastrointestinal tract. 

The news is positive for those who love the beverage, but in any case, be sure to drink in moderation.
